How was your ear developed?
My mother told me I was singing before I began talking, that she woke up to the musical styling’s of her toddler; that I sang everything. Many years later, I am yet comfortable with the collaboration of my spirit and soul. It is the constant that established the formula of operations in my life’s equation. It quantifies and qualifies the sum total of all my variables. I didn’t learn the significance of regimented, patterned, or structured creativity until free flowing was already concrete in the foundation of my being. The natural occurrence was if I could hear it then it must be so. It’s funny how I never considered the fact that others weren’t privy to what I heard until I released the sound into the atmosphere. I was too young to worry that my audience may not have liked or appreciated my sound. It never even occurred to me not to share the gift of my sound. It just bellowed out of my being. I learned to interact, appreciate, and value freedom, liberty, and dependency upon an inner source of strength and ability before I was taught, instructed, and given the rules of creative genius. I didn’t know it was God then but now I see how he set the standard of and for my life’s passion, purpose, and pursuit. There is a natural pause, wait, halt before I release the gift of my sound. I wait to hear what should be produced, replicated, ministered in your hearing. I’m able to give you what it is I’m hearing with a confidence, conviction, and courage that can not be fostered or facilitated in mere self effort. It is a derivative of having, maintaining, and continuously cultivating the development of ones ear.
Later when I was blessed, gifted, or given the responsibility of being the eldest sibling without knowing, watching, or hearing of Joe Jackson I taught my brothers and sister how to sing, how to hear harmonies, but even more how to become one with what they hear. I insisted that they produced a sound that replicated what they heard internally. Before they were allowed to go outside and play they hit the line of discipline and developed their craft. Little did I know I was nurturing, grooming, or cultivating a future passion, ability, and skill that would materialize and manifest in their futures. They have since found and developed their gift and found their particular knack within the music industry becoming, artist, songwriters, producers and musical genius. I am so proud of their accomplishments and honored that God would use me to help develop there internal ear. They have both amazed and shocked me in their own particular development. Our hearing has never been regimented, regulated, or routine. There is a wildness to our music, it is an adventurous undertaking that will both thrill and taunt your prescribed manner in filtering someone’s passion. We learned to feed off each other’s energy, to work in conjunction with our strengths, and to reinforce areas of weakness. We learned to share the spot light, to push, support, and blend with each other to produce a cohesive sound.
To this day I still sing everything…if you want to know what’s on my mind or in my heart listen to what comes from me. It’s the melody that accompanies my words and actions…it’s the expression on my face and the movement of my stride and stance. My sound is authentic, genuine, and original. I’m always looking to see, listening to hear, and ready to share. My nieces and nephews often accuse me of the same thing today my mother mentioned of my yesterday. If you ask me to repeat it I can not because most times I’m simply producing from what I hear. I am an impromptu singer. I learned to hear in the moment, to listen in the now, to produce from the current impression of sound. Improvisation is my gift! In the clamor of noise I’m able to hear, to detect, to produce the sound of my significance. I believe that the sound of our life produces a distinct, distinguishable, differentiated vibration despite the medium of frequency. Even more so I am convinced that God listen’s for our particular sound to be released in the atmosphere; that he is listening specifically for your and my voice. So again I ask: how was your ear developed?
Are you able to find your part, to mix and blend with the wildness of the note. The music of life is adventurous. It is simple, yet complex with a plethora of variations and depictions. Are you able to adjust and go with the flow? Some situations require unison, others mandate musical flexibility, fluidity, and flowetry. Only the developed ear will produce and not replicate patterned, sequenced, regimented sound when the tempo increases and the harmonies change. Sometimes we’re so tied into our particular genre that we fail to appreciate the necessity of other compilations, arrangements, and adaptations when establishing the context of the message housed within the lyrics of a musical score. Have we’ve lost our ability hear?
Song Bird
God uses the gift of my sound as a wake up call-causing there to be a quickening alive in the atmosphere… through the move of His Spirit…it sounds to alert us to the presence and move of God, operating as and with Daybreak, it projects renewal, carry’s opportunity, hope, GOD’S HEALING SALVE… gentle, free-flowing, melodic, intertwining with the beauty of flowers, the freshness of dew… ascending upon the appearance of things that were sleep appearing dead, present as we emerge from places of darkness and seasons of defeat. It has a celebratory flow of all the works of his hand, my voice is meant to ring in and through the air.

This is who I am, who I was always meant to be: unique, wonderfully and beautifully made: peculiar, gifted, dimensional, God’s expressed beauty humanly. What an honor and privilege it is that he listens for my voice, my sound distinctively. … The true prophet’s calling for the wailing woman, to bellow out her sound, HIS deliverance and power resides in the echo of my voice, it was birthed through my barrenness. Song Bird sing, make melody before the Lord, the lover of your soul…it is the sound God uses to summon and usher his people out of bondage. Your singing does warfare, it’s what enables you to be my tool in the prophetic Changing the atmosphere.
Song Bird
Sing, chirp, croon, moan, groan, release the sound you hear playing above and in your ear…give them a manner in which they can get to release, some people will never cry or let go of what I’m trying to take: because they don’t know how or they’re blocked by pride… but if you use what I gave you to put it in the air, and go for broke to move me, I’ll move them from the place they’re at into the place I need them to be.
Song bird I released you into this place and this season for such a time as this to show by example how to get past pain, hurt, shame, failures, rejection of man, wants, desires, injustices, wrongs etc into the presence of God (wholeness). Allow me to use your voice to set the captives free, pull on me, allow me to be your expectation, fulfill your purpose, reach destiny; come out of hiding behind defeat, bound to barriers
Song Bird…Sing! This is my purposing in setting you Free
