A few years ago one of my favorite singers India Arie performed a song entitled Private Party. The premise of the song was that she was having a private party with herself…celebrating the woman she’s become. There are times as we venture to live and love in God’s likeness that we have to allow the Holy Spirit his perfect work in, through, and for us…He heals the disconnect. We have to be able to look at ourselves in the mirror and celebrate all we see. We have to be able to accept, apprehend, and appreciate our own development as significant, special, and signature. India had herself; her angel and her guitar…we that are saved have ourselves, the Holy Spirit, and Gods Word which is a party all in itself…it’s all we need. Creative ability to create the type of party we desire with or without outsiders, on looker(s), and others that have no investment in what’s happening in, to, or for us because they are busy (as they should be) hosting their own private party because God is doing, working, and moving on their behalf as well…Go Jesus with your bad self.
You don’t need their applause, accolades, or affirmation. God has already given and graced you with His Word so let the celebration begin. God will always honor his Word, he is faithful that promised…and He is perfecting everything concerning your life and love in His hands. His heart is toward you…He is working, moving, and doing in conjunction with your faith…so be it unto YOU. You have to appreciate, applaud and live in awe of the omniscience of God…it’s a wonderfully beautiful occurrence. Thank you Jesus for being the deciding factor of life and love as I will express and experience it…warm sentiments, wide smiles, and worshipful singing as I host my own private party and encourage others to do the same. Go ahead commence to celebrating the Word as it manifest whole, in, through and for you… party over the something beautiful that is transpiring as you live and love God, yourself and others. It’s a great thing springing forth, being birthed and manifesting as the will of God concerning you…be happy about it…rejoice…He is setting the table of your life and love in the presence of others that may or may not be excited, celebratory, or appreciative of his doing, design, and desire for and toward you.
Don’t let opinions, obstructions, or obstacles prevent you from partying privately over the party God will usher you into publicly. Celebrate the newness of life and love that you are graced and gifted with. It is an opportunity to get use to, adjust, and appreciate what is taking place in us, on behalf of us with the needed audience of one. Private parties are practice for the public party…preparation…pre: before it occurs, happens, comes about prepare your mind…posture your heart…and position your life and love in gratitude. Get comfortable with your movements, mannerisms, and mission to be the best you… you can be to God be and get all glory.
We are given the opportunity to celebrate what’s developing whole before us without the interjections of what others think, desire, don’t understand or can’t get with as it pertains to what’s happening, in, with and for you. According to your faith be it unto you…other people may not see it, or be able to celebrate what’s up and coming…so you have to be able to celebrate, feel good about, and solidly stand on this is a God thing although others may try to hate on disregard, discount, and disrespect the good thing happening in and for you. Sometimes you got to know what you know and keep it moving. A private party may not initially sound like a good time but trust God completely for your life and love and a celebration will evolve. You see it is absolutely impossible to communicate, commune, and connect with the true and living God and not be changed, challenged, and confounded by His love of, toward, and in you.
Was this the case between Ruth and Boaz when they shared a private moment on the threshing floor? Did he and she feel something they were not at liberty to share immediately? What caused Boaz to secure Ruth’s placement in His life? What sustained Ruth when the connection was realized but she could not disclose what was shared between them…when they were put in a position of not yet…wait? How were they able to manuever around the complications of life and love? Ruth’s obedience to Niaomi positioned her for the experience and expression of love towards Boaz. Boaz obedience to the law caused him to honor Ruth by the expression and experience of his love. Is this a possibility in the experience and expression of a future life and love? Just maybe your Ruth is hosting a private party (holding, honoring, and humbly) trusting that you her Boaz is planning, putting things in place, and positioning your heart to love and live with her in the center of God’s will in the up and coming future. I think both Boaz and Ruth hosted their own private parties until everything was everything and God made away for them to celebrate out in the open, out front for all to observe. It’s honorable and purposeful that you (Ruth and Boaz) be and remain integral throughout the entire process. God will bless and move upon your desire and effort to handle things right. God will make it what it is meant to be and portray soon…until then enjoy your private parties and celebrate all God is doing and going to do with, in and for you. So honor your commitments, meet your responsibilities…be the best experience of life and love toward Naomi, the distant relative, and all those standing in line (give the love you hope to receive until God brings about His desire, design and designation for both your living and loving. Host your private party intentionally, intelligently, and independently until God brings it about beautifully. Sshh keep Ruth’s and Boaz secret…they are already living and loving in hopes of what will be. How you handle your Now mirrors the love and support you will give and receive in the future…so love and live lavishly as it will honor God and be the experience God desires they would have through your expression and gifted(ness). You got this…this is nothing but a thing, a hick up in the road. Stay pliable, passionate and purposeful in every area of your now…because you future is awaiting, watching, and wishing you well in the distance. Your future understands you needed this, needed to prove somethings to yourself…needed to come willingly to a place of surrender and a deeper level of faith. Great job in coming to it…it’s a great look…sport and strut your stuff… practice for the party…party like a rock star and in the words of Kim from Atlanta’s Housewives “don’t be tardy for the party”…big smiles, bubbly laughter, a BOOM and BAM to the plan and plot of the enemy to destroy you, prevent us…BUT GOD…oh my… shall we dance?
In essence the singer was saying just as the characters of the bible story mentioned for emphasis…celebrate yourself, your growth, development…use what you got (inside) to celebrate what’s manifesting on the outside. What a awesome growth opportunity for us, right? All we need to celebrate is God for us…his heart toward us…ultimately we’re given the opportunity to celebrate and party over life and love as it unfolds before us. Outside affirmation enhances not make life and love events. I for one am ecstatic, excited, energized, and expectant of God’s heart toward me…already partying…happy with and for my dog on self…hooray…whoop whoop…a hoot and a holler…with my hands up and mouth filled with praise…dancing, singing, and feasting on the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living and loving in His likeness. I hope you are doing the same…enjoy your private party until we’re blessed to party together publically…then I will sing like India Arie…”I’m having a private party ain’t nobody here but me, “my angel”, and my guitar singing baby look how far we’ve come yeah”…meet you in the center of God’s will amidst his love and heart toward us.~AntTBri
