When we were children I noticed my brother’s ability to make people laugh…he is the life of the party…always cracking jokes and doing something shockingly stupid. He has the ability to make you laugh even when you don’t want to. Once you get past his craziness and cantankerous tactics the shock wears off and you surmise “that’s just Big Ron”. He’s a funny dude smh when he’s not going overboard.

One-day when we we’re alone I asked him if he could teach me how to be funny. He told me he couldn’t that it’s something that you have or don’t have. Disappointed and dejected I remember thinking people don’t like me like they like you. I wasn’t cool or funny and I hadn’t grown into distinction yet. At that time, well even now, hurting people were drawn to me…life and love presented serious, sensitive, and sad realities that needed to be addressed…which was no laughing matter.  Even as a little girl there was an intensity to my personality, a seriousness to my approach…an automatic “how can I help” or find away to do what needs to be done.

God is smart like that. He gifts us with characteristics, capabilities, and conditions that groom our personalities in accordance to His plan and purpose for our life and love. We grow into distinction.

As you live and love you will find that everything you need to be you has already been deposited within. You will also find it is a serious waste of time to wish for or try to be like someone else. Big Ron’s sense of humor brings a certain type of comic relief…don’t take life and love so serious balance. He owns it and has no problem being him any and everywhere. His ability to alarm, appeal, and address people in a way that makes them feel apart is his gift. He lifts moods, changes atmospheres, and makes you laugh when you want to cry. He plays too much and he is consistently him.  Love him or leave him he’s being true to himself.

You have a gift, a specialness that only you can give. Life and love will cultivate it…you will grow into it.  Trust God’s plan and purpose for your life and love. Be you don’t try to be what you admire in others. Ask God to help you accept, acknowledge, and acclimate to His purpose for your being. You have what you need and what it takes to fulfill life and loves assignment. God will get the glory when you are 100% the person He created you to be. Be you…blessed, beautiful, and brilliant and remember you either have it or you don’t. Celebrate and cultivate your own distinction because the world needs you and will miss out on God’s gracious glory expressed through your experience and expression of life and love.

Only you can gift life and love with the authentic you…people will not only like you they will love you for what you bring, deposit, and leave with them. Jesus is the best teacher he taught me to just be me…life and love works best that way.  You’re needed…wanted…and valued…yes YOU…loved and trusted…God’s glory rests upon you and your distinction draws people to you. You got it and I love it~AntTBri
