It always amazes me how we’re quick to thank God for the favorable things of life and love but fail to acknowledge or thank Him for those things that challenge, correct and change us.

I’m thankul for the real story, the details noone cares to hear, those things that are tempting to ignore, those things that fail to make life and love look like the dream.

Every last detail caused me to come to know God in such a intimate way.  Without the challenge, correction or change I don’t know that I would have a living, loving or LASTING. relationship with the risen Savior to reciprocate.  What standard would I replicate?

It was good that I suffered (insert your story) because when life and love broke me down the love of God built me up.  God didn’t allow the bad to destroy me nor the good to spoil or ruin me. The comfort in it all is that I’m able to give thanks for the real story without airs or pretense or the need to make life or love more than it really is.

Life and love is the means by which we come to know the love of God. All the details are not great, some of them are grueling, gruesome, gross and goree.  Life and love is not all pretty. Sometimes its problematic, perplexing, painful and petrifing BUT GOD is with me in me and for me.  His love makes the definable difference in life and love.

If only we shared the real story people would view the love of God differently.  They would bare witness to His love not admire the story we tell to make ourselves appear acceptable or applause worthy. 

The real story is that God loves the imperfect perfectly. His goodness, grace and glory upon life and love is evident in challenges, correction and changes. When king/queen delusion died people were able to see the Lord.  Who’s view are we blocking telling our version of life and love?  How we see it just might be the problem. The opportunity is to see God, ourself and others in light of his Word, Way and Works.  Yes it is a challenge because we don’t want to tell ourselves or others how far away we are from the truth.  Yes it requires we confront our issues and that we allow the HolySpirit to bring about the necessary change in us so you can enjoy life and love.

Purpose is found in the details of life and love. Don’t be afraid to search them out.  You will be amazed by what you discover.  God loves us so much that He reveals to us the truth about us…see you thats the challenge, correction and change needed to celebrate all seasons of life and love. Celebrate the truth if not for God’s love life and love would not be amazing~AntTBri
