Per the preview, Apollo tells Kenya (Atlanta’s House Wives) “I made you relevant ” during the reunion part 3 show.  Harsh right?  Geesh, I’m no Kenya Moore fan but in that microsecond I felt that gut punch.  That kind of statement can take ones breath away if its the truth.

How many of us are gutsy enough to openly admit  we’ve made our enemy relevant?  What a valuable waste of energy, effort and enthusiasm discussing the particulars of the enemy’ strategy to destroy life and love. Have we made him, his tactics relevant?  Geesh that in and of itself is a harsh reality. Its enough to take our breath away.

You mean to tell me I’m to pray about that thing I made relevant?  I’m supposed to accept, acknowledge and admit my talking, thinking and twirling around the issue created the story line of my own reality show? Apollo’s statement definitely got me thinking.  Maybe,  I’m not willing to forgo the attention given when people think I’m going through some random absurd thing. Maybe, the enemy  actually came about as a result of my doing and I’m assisting him or setting it up to look the way I choose to spin it .  Maybe, I’m crediting the enemy’s reputation every time I magnify what he is “doing” to me. Does this make him relevant in my life and love? Am I making him a star?  He’s not star worthy is he…playing and starring as the fool I’m turning out to be.

Negative ratchetness gets attention and higher ratings  thus the joke of Kenya’s depiction of being an Atlanta House Wife even though she doesn’t have a husband. How entertaining it is to watch this ridiculousness. It serves no purpose and has no point yet and still we watch it to past the time.Everyone knows reality TV isn’t really real…that story lines are created to hold the audience’s attention.  Reunion shows are to boost ratings and get people excited about next season. Before we tune in this coming Sunday night for pt. 3 I admonish us to consider the topic of relevance.   If this was part three of your life and love and the season was ending…who have you made relevant?  Heaven help us deal with our harsh reality because all of us have played the fool at one time or another but grace grants us next season…may you be the only star and highlight because YOU ARE RELEVANT in life and love.
