In His Likeness w/ AntTBri

Pride and Prejudice (Keirra Knightly) is one of my favorite movies. It is a good depiction of Jane Austin’s book.  Mr. Darcy is the man. I’ve seen the movie over 20 times. That era, the clothes, dialog appeals to me.  One of my favorite lines is when Mr. Darcy tells Jane he finds it hard to forgive the follys of men, that his opinion once lost…

Here lately that particular statement wrestles my conviction because I am of strong opinion and even though I try I am not always forgiving, understanding or tolerant of practices and principles that are direct opposite of what’s  claimed and  represented .  I live and love indifferent to those persons who demonstrate lack of personal restraint, integrity and incompetence in those areas they profess to master. I expect people to be who they say they are and to do what they say they will do…to live and love within the parameters of their confession. Like Mr. Darcy once my opinion is lost very seldom does it change.  People’s  patterns what they consistently Do (not say) determines my assessment .

Who we  are consistently informs others of our heart’s posture towards God, ourself and others.  Our articulations and actions will draw or detour people from wanting to live and love with us.

How disappointing it is to find that most of what comes out of our mouths contradicts the example, light, or salt we believers are commanded to be in this dark world.  Continual comfortable Disobedience to the Word, way and work of GOD  is a tale tale sign there is a heart problem.

Persons with “heart” problems that aren’t willing to change their practices restrict access to life. They take more than they ever give sapping the life out of everyone and thing around them because they are diseased, deteriorating and dying.  They are toxic, treacherous and tricky because you feel sorry for their condition and they use that caring against you.

Jesus, like Mr. Darcy just not flawed or a characture in a ficticious book also makes assessments of our chioces and  character. He categorizes us as righteous or wicked, godly or ungodly, saint or scornful. He  cursed the fig tree for appearing to be productive…able to produce. He knows and reveals what and who is  fake, fraudulent and  foolish. 

Many of us need to Stop It! Stop being wolves in sheeps clothing. Stop articulating, attacking and assassinating God’s people, living and loving vengeful, venomous and vile. Stop your wickedness,  working your own agenda and victimizing the innocent. Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! For your souls sake just Stop it!

God will not always chide with man or woman…ask the reprobate.   He is a God of justice we  cannot continually choose to live or love opposite Him without sealing our own fate.  Stop it Jezebel’s daughter! Stop it David’s son! Stop it or you will cease to be and you would have lived and loved according to the wickedness of your heart as a angel of light but die marked like Cain and Judus in darkness never knowing the freedom of deliverance.

I pray Psalms 10 in It’s entirety for all those who commit themselves to God, for the afflicted and victimized.  May God be our vindication and grant us victory in order that man or woman, who is of the earth may terrify no more.  You just wouldn’t STOP IT!~AntTBri
