Pressure to Keep Moving

While training to become a  Thai Chi instructor two months ago, it occurred to me healing is often the end result of the pressure to keep moving.  Moving with the current pain, beyond the present moment into the next with expectation and hope seems to be the plight of all humanity.  It’s the pressure to keep moving although, with and in spite of the expedient limitation with the belief that if you keep moving something will happen…conditions won’t stay the same, grow worst or atrophy. Movement is faith in motion. It is the choice of the will to press, push and persevere through opposition, obstacles and obstructions .  It is a mindset, the derivative of cognitive thought,an internal conviction that I will live and not die with or in this…this is not my end.  It is the collaboration of one’s will and the work of a source greater than oneself to produce a greater outcome.  The pressure to keep moving can manifest optimal results in our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual state of being when we live and love acknowledging God’s healing virtue is always in motion.  It is always accessible we simply have to tap into His flow, join in and move in sequence with Him.  There’s a synchronicity, synergy not visible to the natural eye that can be  felt (experienced) tangibly.  Movement is the sequential dance of the supernatural.   It’s the fluidity of grace and the natural flow of love guiding us to the center of God’s will for us.  It is His will that we keep moving in, with and through Him into the abundance promised.

That being said, typically I’m not cognitive of movement.  I’m not into how many steps  I’ve taken in a day, competitive jogging, biking or none of the vigorous sweat inducing activities exercise buffs ascribe to.  Assuredly so, I’m not trying to break a nail or injure myself while working towards a healthier lifestyle.  I read for enjoyment not necessarily to flex my academia, and my quest to be spiritually enlightened majors on the relationship I have with God, not how fast I can get ahead or into the lime light with man. Movement in every dimension sort of just happens without any intentional(ality), rhyme or reason. I’m not trying to get, earn or merit anything other than the heart of God.  So my movement isn’t calculated, measured or laden-ed with impressing, out doing or competing with anyone. It is what it is and I’m absolutely cool with that.  Life and love sets the pace nothing external.  The pressure to keep moving for me centers around growth, balance and sustainability.  A conveyor belt approach juxtapose to a robotic stiff and rigid type of existence works for me.  Life and love (in my opinion) is enjoyed , experienced and expressed best when we’re able to move within a flow.

We all do it, we just move from one position to the next in effort to get to where we’re going, do what needs to be  done.  In doing so, many of us fail to consider the discipline of cognitive coordination, synchronized movement that works in conjunction  or in collaboration with the energy around us.  Movement is often reduced to something we just do, something that just happens or doesn’t depending on the circumstances or conditions. In this season of life and love the pressure to keep moving motivates my hope for life and love. It’s causing me to look deeper and seek God more fervently.

While training to become  Thai Chi certified the principle that resignated  heavily…was this concept of coordinated continual movement that lengthens, stretches and strengthens mental clarity, physical and spiritual wellness.  The particular ancient Chinese practice (form) taught is a combination of slow continual movements combined with deep breathing and intentional focus (visualization) on the part of the body being moved increases strength, balance and posture.  It improves mind, body and spirit and creates a tension that forces the mind and body to move  in conjunction with the source of healing.  The discipline of focused movement changes physical outcomes.  The pressure to keep moving physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually is advantageous for the believer.  This pressure challenges and changes our perspective on movement.

Standing there, more uncoordinated than I’d like to admit attempting to learn the specific sequence of movements both challenged and provided comedic relief… trying really hard to stay objective(not critique the principles and techniques to death) and wanting desperately to assist in helping life and love become more for those God will allow my hands to touch in His stead I began to ask myself a series of questions.  When you’re praying and believing God for healing are you looking or moving in the vein of healing?  Do you intentionally look for or to the source of all healing?  At that moment it became undeniably clear that my faith in this area was in the Word uttered not necessarily attributing the desired outcome to an actual reality…movement in and of itself is our life source. God is multifaceted and my vision of Him didn’t explore the attribute of Him as a healer as a actual source.  He’s God of course but I don’t know that I visioned healing in particular…in a virtue leaving or going out type of way.   In that moment, wondering why I was selected/chosen my heart desired to stretch beyond the point of my own comfort (current concern) and I welcomed the Spirit of God to train me in synchronizing my movements with those of the grand master while experiencing the pressure to keep moving.

Holy Spirit help us move in sequence, solidarity and with the synergy necessary to change outcomes.  Teach us to move constantly, consistently in your flow beyond the limitations of our humanity.  Healing is the children’s bread, nourish and nurture our hearts to vision you as actively present with us, in us…everywhere at all times.  You are our center, align our movement with yours.  Spirit of the living, loving God cause life, limbs and love to move in the free flow of your will. Liken to the symbolic pearls flowing as a art form (marshal art technique) teach us the power of movement as a viable defense against the plans, plots and ploys of the enemy.  Cause us to become intentional about our synchronized sequential movement with you and  produce the outcome of surrendered submissive obedience for us. Stretch us. Strengthen us and supply us with what we need to move with you.  Show us the specifics of your presence to heal.  Cause us to see it before and as it happens.  Expand our capacity by your stripes we are healed.  Your Word is our reality.    We eagerly await the numinous collision of our worship and your Word when life and love will come together and change for the better. It will become what you desire, designated and designed for us specifically.  We call those realities into existence.   We see you in your full glory touching, repairing and healing the disconnect.  Dead, lifeless regions are being infused by the wind of your Spirit, being quickened alive again…life and love is rejuvenating, refreshing and responding to the source of it’s strength and power.  God we believe you for complete and total healing mind, body and soul.  The pressure to keep moving is ushering us into wholeness, growth, balance and sustainable outcomes with and in you.  Life and love is becoming what God purposed and promised it would be. The healing virtue of Jesus is alive, active and performing awesome works within and around us in accordance to the Word already given and spoken into existence In Jesus name.

Thai Chi originally appealed to me because it’s not as evasive as other exercise forms and it would allow me the opportunity to encourage and facilitate active movement among those I’m blessed to work with.  The fact that it has physical, mental and spiritual benefits encouraged my interest.  But the fact that it exposed me to another dimension of seeing the power of God at work in and around me sold me on the advantages of it’s application.  It is my heart and hope that this is something we can do together while living and loving with the pressure to keep moving. David said “you teach my hands to war”…the concept behind Thai Chi  can be a demonstrative symbolic representation of this verse highlighting the discipline of spiritual warfare.  We have to be intentional about  teaching our minds and bodies to work in conjunction with the Holy Spirit.  It’s through this type of intentional intensity  our faith and focus interconnects with heaven’s frequency.  According to our faith be it unto us ~AntTBri
