It’s the “little” things about life and love that one is most appreciative. The smallest of detail that makes a gesture special, signature, significant. One would have to be paying close attention to execute this easily. We like it when people notice and care enough to give us what we like not so much what they would want themselves. Gift specific to who we are.

For instance, my godmother “Ma Becky” gifts me with Wild Cherry Pepsi, Dove Milk Chocolate Candy, and Lays Sour Cream and Onion Potato Chips when ever she notices I’m stressed. My girlfriend Justine Weathington brings me Caramel Sundaes when I’m sick. My go to friends go with me to get Sushi when I’m stuck, scared, stubborn or feel like being selfish. The little things help us feel better about the occurrence of life and love.

We all have moments of being stressed, sick, stuck, scared, stubborn and selfish. Life and love cycles there are ups and downs. There is no need trying to get morning benefits when it’s midnight. The joy comes after navigating and negotiating the darkness. Night brings night occurrences. Morning ushers in morning occurrences. Look for the little things to appreciate, to applaud and accept about life and love occurrences. It will make the smallest gestures register HUGE as special, signature and significant. Observation is my niche, not a many little things escape my notice. I love it when life and love affords me opportunities to be grateful…I live to find something to celebrate. Today I’m celebrating the little things that reinforce how much God and others love me.

Who are the people in your life that do the “little” things because they know it’s what you like but will not ask for? What attention to detail have you missed, overlooked or taken for granted because you’re wrapped up in what you’re going through and it just a “little” thing? It’s no little thing the sacrifice love makes on our behalf. The gifting of a new day, another opportunity to show God we are thankful for His Son, our lives and the precious gift of others. Special, Signature and Significant are the little things done and given because we are loved, valued and treasured by the one who notices. ~AntTBri
