Caged

Confined, Caged yet Courageously trusting God for the fulfillment of His Word

Small spaces cause me great angsts. Being confined, limited, or trapped ensues discomfort and almost always causes me to overreact. Heightened anxiety is exasperated by limited space proximity and the feeling of being trapped/stuck. Its not fun, favorable or a fulfilling experience but I’m learning how to circumvent the tendency to respond negatively in my humanity. I’m learning to voice my fears but rely on God’s care of me…live and love in the Spirit. Knowing what my options/choices are and by being clear about the path of escape I can remedy the hysteria, lessening the overreaction and tendency to operate in and out of fear.

Metaphorically speaking this pandemic, political climate and the process of survival has a many of us feeling caged in, confined and confused. We’re struggling to balance the reality of of what’s occurring today and the hope and expectation of what tomorrow will yield (see 2 Cor. 1:20). But God.

By allowing the Holy Spirit to quiet the noise of our irrational thoughts and emotions…taking deep breaths and slowing down our breathing pattern while in the throws of fear we’ll be able to regain composure, cognition and tap into courage. “God got us. God got this, He isn’t limited by space and time. If He’s not done then we can’t be done. We can believe Him for this. Trust is our only option.”

In the throws of panic, pain and pressure our humanity temporarily forgets and forfeits spiritual advantage. BUT the Holy Spirit speaks through the stillness arresting our attention. It won’t let us quit, throw in the towel, forget or forfeit the promise or live and love indifferent. In whatever state we are found, if in Christ we are reminded that we’re over-comers, victorious, and triumphant. We are never alone in situations, struggles or scenarios. The very life of God is within us…infusing us with His power to remember, recall and recharge in God. We are confined, conflicted and caged But courageously believing God for life and love beyond this moment.

There’s a getting/gearing up happening in the spirit. The weak are becoming strong, growing aggressive in this fight for life love, liberty…our families and future.

Having been backed into a corner, cramped, confined and caged by these current events there is a stirring amongst the people of God. An awakening if you will among the dry, dead bones and desolations. Prayer is intensifying, intercession is going forth. There is a desperation in our cries unto the Lord. Zion is in travail…yes this pandemic, political season and process of survival has caged us in. Yes social distancing although necessary and needed has confined us and all the changing variables, variations of what’s expected of us has caused us anxiety in our humanity but it has also rendered us restless no relentless in the Spirit. Can’t you hear the war cry? Feel the ground shaking? Now men and women are crying out to the Lord for mercy, for help, respite and relief. We’re creating a unified sound. Giving way to the King of kings and Lord of lords. We’re refusing to continue to live and love in trepidation, void of hope and possibility. Seven months in, normal routines obliterated, national unrest heightening, sickness and death all around us, a plethora of things opposing the truth of God’s Word being fulfilled and the Spirit of God is yet compelling us to believe, have faith and trust. The cage has become our spring board, gates are opening…warriors are being birthed and the host of heaven is being implored.

We all can agree this season is no fun and it isn’t favorable to the human psyche but it’s proving to be invigorating in the spirit realm. Our Spiritual language is being developed and is expanding, our discernment is becoming more keen and our warfare is more strategic and tactical against powers, principalities in high places. We’re helping persons access peace during these troubled times…reminding us to put on the whole armor.

Thank God for His Word! (see Proverbs 15:23). It clarifies the believing option to trust God with life and love when we’re feeling confined by situations, scenarios, sickness and struggles. We courageously appropriate Psalm 18:19 knowing that in the end life and love will manifest differently as God desires to gift us. We continue to hope while caged/being detained by current realities that prevent us from saying and doing what our heart yearns to disclose/defend…respecting boundaries and adhering to the rules of appropriate despite the compilation of evidence proving systems in place are blatantly wrong. Asserting like the psalmist that God hears the cries and desires of the afflicted and will defend us from those causing terror (See Psalm 10 in its entirety).

Deep calls unto deep…the warrior within is stirring up…getting/gearing up to fight for what God says we can have. We’re aggressively willing our soul to concede to the spirit that has been quickened alive. “This is not to hard for God nor impossible. He does His best work in thick darkness when it is not readily apparent what’s happening. When it doesn’t seem like anything is changing or shifting in our favor. He yet remains faithful, continues to show up and show out on our behalf. We need only to courageously agree, attest to and articulate freedom, peace, life, love…healing is the children’s bread~AntTBri
