Wait…Stay

Stay…around, please don’t leave, don’t walk away, don’t give up on your promise.  You have what and who it takes to make it through this, past this. You’re going to get to your expected end.  The provision for your success is already in place, predetermined and promised to you. This current undertaking is simply a part of the process. Every purpose under the sun unfolds through the process of time. God uses time to align all things according to His purpose. You can trust Him, in this, through this, for this. The promise is being unveiled  amidst this darkness, this delay, and this  distress. Wait my sister!  Stay the course my brother! Wait my friend! Stay with it believers…”Do not leave… , but wait for the gift my Father promised…”Acts 1:4 [NIV].  Stay despite the fear, frustration, and fatigue you are feeling.  Will yourself to Wait patiently for what will surely come if you faint not. Wait…stay…around for the culmination of your conviction.

Stay… awake, don’t let complacency, indifference, and apathy cradle you to sleep. Your enemy wants you lethargic, lazy, and lackadaisical. Self-satisfaction, self-righteousness, and spiritual smugness   speaks, sings, and even soothes the weary, wounded, and wayward while they are faint at heart and feeling fatigue. They offer the sound of sweet nothings: “it’s time for you to be happy…it’s time for you to do you”,” you’re a good person, you don’t deserve this”, “you can do better than this, try it on your own.  You know what to do, how to do. Enough is enough, you know your ‘re  restless, ready, and resilient…you got this you’re a child of the king, this situation, these people are beneath you” “God is unjust, unfair, and he doesn’t understand how much this hurts, how bad you feel, and what you need and want” “If this is life with him, looks like life without him would be better”.  Wait…  Stay awake, even though you don’t want to, even though it seems to be getting worst instead of better, even though you feel your knees buckling, your mind changing, and your energy depleting and even though you  want to rest, retreat, and recant your confession.

Stay…alert, the triplets of disbelief are eagerly awaiting  the moment you agree with their accusations and decide you’re done, that you have no more fight, hang on, hold out left in you. They will applaud your defeat when you concede your stance of faith and accept your empowering  them; for they are the vices of agreement.  Allowing, permitting, willing them to take over, consume, and infiltrate your thoughts, feelings, and desires will make what you perceive to be an already bad situation worst. You will no longer be fighting an external battle but will  now be waging an internal war without help.  Please stay don’t move out on what you know, can do, make happen in and of yourself. If you evict your strength, your strong hold, and your source, peace will exit and there will be no understanding, or  guarding of the mind and heart…the threat will become your reality. Wait…stay alert, don’t become open prey to be devoured because compromise is contemptuous.

Wait…be of good courage and maintain your confidence that He who shall come, will come, and he will not tarry beyond his timing, plan, and purpose for this allowance. Stay because He who can not lie made you a promise. Stay because you know he is a promise keeper, that you can depend, rely, and stay with His Word.  Don’t let this  fear and fatigue rock you to sleep! Don’t let the frustration lay you down into depression, defeat, and disdain for those things hoped for, those things you know and believe. This is an aggressive attack to you faith… All this is yet working to your good. If God allowed it, there is purpose in it…it is a part of His plan. His plan is flawless, faultless, and fervent it will accomplish all he has purposed, predestined, and promised. Wait…stay around, stay awake, stay alert because you don’t want to miss what’s coming, on the horizon, awaiting you if you hold fast to your conviction, confession  without compromise.~AntTBri

    1. If God is the promise giver, he also is the promise keeper and the fulfillment of such promises. We get into trouble when we make the promise subjective to what we want and think it should be. God is God of all our situations…he predetermines our going in and coming out. Israel/Judah got into major trouble for leaving the captivity in hopes of things being better in Egypt. Egypt represents those things that gratify and satisfy the flesh. When the promise of God was directly tied to them staying in bondage, being captive, and overtaken. God always has a plan…he uses our trouble, torment, and torture to reveal Himself and get us back into the right heart posture before him. So I ask you to consider the continual war between your spirit and flesh when thinking in terms of the promise your are hoping to attain. God will finish what he began in you…he does not need your help. Let Him do it…His way. His way will always bring about His promise.
