The Joy Factor

According to Psalms 1 every believer/ follower of Christ lives in a state of happiness/bliss when he or she agrees with God’s teachings, by adhering to the things searched out in His Word. We are blessed when We process, practice and proclaim the Word as our personal truth. When the word is the standard of our thought process, personal practice, and proclamations we are in a continual state of joyousness.

The position or posture of our heart is to know the way, the will and plan of God for living life in a manner that fosters an intimate relationship with Him. When we choose to live our life according to His precepts we are happy. We ignite, activate and attract authentic worship merely by our choice to agree. The person who denies himself the right to have an opinion opposite God has the promise of continual joy. Joy is the derivative of agreement; it is the by product of the believer/follower’s choice reciprocated by a gracious loving God.

I’ve heard a many believer’s say “the joy of the Lord is my strength” only to witness collapse, confusion and contradiction in terms of personal process, practice, and proclamation. The joy factor seems to be the missing factor in our lives. Salvation for many seems to be a lifestyle that is endured instead of embraced and enjoyed. Where is the noted or promised strength? The sustenance of our lifestyle?

Psalms 1 is a clear picture of the essence of worship; it depicts intimacy as an even exchange of delight in meeting and coming together. The one Who blesses becomes the one who is blessed parallel to “Simon Say’s or What time is it Mister fox?’ When the prize is obtained positions change.

What a concept to ponder we are the objects of God’s heart…who he is after…he wants a relationship with us. He creates the chase, our passion ignites the run and our lifestyle becomes pursuit and pursuer. God is hallowed; consecrated; worthy of blessing or adoration; heavenly; holy defined by our choice to worship Him. ~AntTBri
